Our Returns Policy

We hope that you will be delighted with your purchase from Safetyfix, but we understand that sometimes there may be a reason why you would like to return an item you have purchased to us. We aim to make this process as simple as possible.

Please be aware that Safetyfix is a business retailing products to the trade and to industry. All transaction are therefore deemed to be business to business sales and are therefore governed by our Business terms and conditions. Our Terms and Conditions are viewable here. 

14 DAYS RETURN POLICY – GIVING YOU ADDED PEACE OF MIND. 

The returns policy at Safetyfix is valid for 14 days from the receipt of an item. You therefore have 14 days from the day you receive your item to inform our Customer Care Team that you wish to return the item if it is unsuitable.

It is important that items are unused and in their original packaging, capable of resale. 

To return an item(s) firstly please download or request a Returns Form, complete it and send to customercare@safetyfix.co.uk. We will then send you instructions on how and where to send your returns along with our returns authorisation number. This returns number helps us process your return to Safetyfix as quickly as possible. Items returned without a returns number may take longer to process.

If you change your mind about your order – unwanted or unsuitable products

We want you to be happy every time you shop with us at Safetyfix, but we understand that sometimes a product might not be what you were expecting, or just isn’t quite right. 

To return an item(s) firstly please download or request a Returns Form, complete it and send to customercare@safetyfix.co.uk. We will then send you instructions on how and where to send your returns along with our returns authorisation number.   • If you have changed your mind about your purchase, all items must be sent postage paid. We would recommend that you return your items via registered post. 
  • Please clearly state on the returns form the reason for return, and whether you would like to exchange your product to an alternative, or whether you would like a refund. All refunds are credited back to the original payment card.
  • When sending an item back to us, it is sent back at your risk until we receive it. We therefore recommend that you send the item back to us using a tracked service with adequate insurance or cover for loss and/or damage to the product. Please use adequate packaging to protect the product and be aware that you are responsible for the product until it arrives back with us.  
  • In accordance with our Terms and Conditions, where we agree to accept unwanted Products back from you we reserve the right to charge you a re-stocking fee of the higher of 20% of the Product sales price or the sum of £20 which you agree to pay upon re-stocking. Any such returned Products must be unopened and in a fully resalable condition and if they are not or you have not paid the re-stocking fee we may refuse to accept the Products back. 
  • You can return any item ordered online in accordance with the terms in this section apart from:
    • personalised or bespoke items;
    • any items which deteriorate or expire rapidly;
    • any items that are sealed for health protection or hygiene reasons if you have unsealed them (for example, respiratory protection products ).
    • any items that have been inseparably mixed after delivery.

If your order arrived damaged or faulty

We always try to select the best products available and package them securely. However, if items you receive are faulty or damaged on arrival, please let us know within 14 days of receiving the item. We can then replace them free of charge or provide you will a full refund. 

We will refund reasonable postage costs (if agreed prior to shipment) or arrange a collection of items that have arrived damaged or faulty. 

If your item develops a fault after 14 days

If an item develops a fault caused by a manufacturing or materials defect outside of 14 days but inside of 12 months, we will be able to exchange the product where possible on a like for like basis. Where a like for like product is unavailable, a refund will be made for that product if deemed faulty.

Please note, if an item develops a fault through misuse or user damage, and is not the result of a manufacturing fault or shortfall, we will be unable to exchange or refund your purchase. 

If you return goods claiming they are defective, we will examine the returned goods and will notify you of your refund via e-mail within a reasonable period of time. We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case within fourteen (14) days of the day we confirm via e-mail that you are entitled to a refund for defective goods.

Our returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.

How will I receive my refund?

If a refund or reimbursement is payable to you, we will transfer the money using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. If we cannot refund via the original payment then a cheque will be raised to the address on the order (except in the case of a full or part purchase of goods using a Gift Card, as detailed below).

Where you have failed to take reasonable care of the goods, we reserve the right to refuse a refund and return the goods to you at your own cost.

1. Contact us to get your returns authorisation number and the address to return your item to.

2. Fill in the form, completing all the required fields. 
3. Package your item securely to avoid damage
4. Send the package back with adequate insurance to the address provided by our Customer Care Team
5. Retain your proof of posting
6. Wait for your refund or exchange.
